Submissionpolicy
What happens to a story submitted to the JUST APE IT Ape Wall: how it is moderated, what is stored, what is published, and how to have it removed.
Short version: write something true, we read it before it goes up, and you can have it taken down whenever you want.
- 01
Everything is moderated
Nothing appears on the Ape Wall until a human has read it. Submissions are private until then, and rejected ones are never published. There is no automatic approval.
- 02
What gets published
Your story, the name you chose, your category and your image, if you attached one. That is all we ask for and all we keep.
- 03
What we do not collect
No account, no email, no wallet, no tracking. We store a one-way hash of your IP address purely to stop the same person flooding the form, and it cannot be turned back into your address.
- 04
Images are re-encoded
Every uploaded image is decoded and re-encoded on our server before storage. That strips EXIF data — including any GPS location your phone may have attached — and guarantees the file is really an image.
- 05
We may share it
Approved stories may be posted on the project’s social channels, with the name you gave. That is what the consent box is for. If you would rather we did not, say so in your story and we will not.
- 06
Taking it down
Email us and it comes down. No form, no argument, no waiting period.
- 07
What gets rejected
Anything hateful, anything that targets a private individual, anything impersonating somebody, spam, and anything presented as financial advice. Failure stories are welcome; that is rather the point.
